Space and Events contains a range of conference rooms, rehearsal spaces, banquet halls, and theaters to accommodate events of any nature. With in-house production and catering team options, along with the flexibility to bring in your favorite vendors, Space and Events gives you the best of Penn.
Important Dates for Space and Events
In our effort to move away from a conference style venue and to become more student serving, Houston Hall has revised the way that spaces are used throughout the building. Please note that several of our spaces such as The Bistro now The Game Room and The Reading Room are now “as is” and the furniture cannot be removed from those rooms.

- Last day for student events December 11, 2023.
- Reservation Timeline for Spring:
- Registered Student Organizations- November 6th
- Student-Serving Departments- November 27th
- Departments and Other Penn-affiliated Groups- December 4
- Please note that reservations for non-Penn related events will not be accepted during the academic year.

To assist students in the room reservation process Space and Events Management has extended its hours.
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday: Closed
